A "BibleMap" describes how bible references within one bible may be mapped to the bible references containing the same text in another bible. Example: Psalms 13,3-5 (Luther) = Ps. 13,2-4 (Nuova Diodati). The first bible is the source of the mapping, the second bible is the target.
In principle, there are different types of mappings for a bible reference: (in the examples, "L" means German Luther1984, "Dio" means Italian NuovaDiodati)

| "Move" | a range of consecutive verses in the source
corresponds one by one with a range of consecutive verses in the
target (with different verse numbers, maybe even in a different chapter). Example: Psalms 13,3-5 (L) = Ps. 13,2-4 (Dio). |
| "Mix" | one or several verses in the source correspond
with one or several verses in the target. The chapter numbers of source verses and target
verses may be different. The source verses may be located in one or
several chapters. The target verses may be located in one or
several chapters. Examples: Ps. 13,6 (L) = Ps. 13,5.6 (Dio). Jes. 63,19 (L) = Jes. 63,19;64,1 (Dio). Offb. 2,22-23 (L) = Offb. 2,22-23 (Dio). The last of these examples would be used if in Dio verses 22 and 23 had been combined into one verse "22/23" so that it were not possible to address the text of a single verse. |
